Ray and Holly remember well when God called them to serve on the international mission field. “It was on my first mission trip to the Czech Republic working with an unreached people group that God put in my heart to go to the nations,” Ray said. For Holly, she too was on her first mission trip to the Czech Republic where she worked with Asian immigrants and heard God’s call. Afterward God brought Ray and Holly together and united their callings to go and serve him on the mission field.

God gave us a heart for East Asia through the adoption of our daughter from China,” Holly said. “Then when we saw how big of a need there was for a gospel witness in this area, we told God ‘yes,’ we will go.”

Ray, a native of Wallsboro, Ala., is thankful to Alabama Baptists and the Cooperative Program for making it possible for them to go. “The Cooperative Program is the greatest missions giving and sending program in all the world,” Ray said. “It allows us to focus exclusively on reaching our people while providing opportunities for local churches to connect and partner with us through prayer and sending short-term teams to work alongside us.”

Ray and Holly welcome anyone who is interested in finding out more about their work to contact him at Ray2EastAsia@gmail.com
