Jackson’s Gap Baptist Church in Jackson’s Gap AL is seeking a full-time pastor to provide oversight and direction for the Worship Service at JGBC, particularly how people are introduced and encouraged to engage with the presence of God and their eternal salvation through Jesus Christ. The ideal candidate should have a demonstrated capacity to be an “atmosphere “architect, ensuring that the gospel of Jesus Christ can be delivered with ease in large part to the excellence of worship and the Christian spirit! He must demonstrate a strong Christian faith and commitment to Jesus Christ. He must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and have experience in leading worship. He must also have a deep compassion for community outreach and the spreading of God’s Word. He must demonstrate the ability to recruit, mentor, train, and lead volunteers. He must be a committed leader to creating a vision for JGBC and growing God’s Church. His job responsibilities include but are not limited to preaching at Sunday Services, teaching Adult Bible Studies, and leading Wednesday night outreach. He is expected to visit congregants in their homes and hospitals. He must lead in prayer service, coordinate visitation, and get to know church neighbors. He must have an individual disciplined time for Bible study, prayer, and preparation for preaching.
