The response in Birmingham has involved numerous personnel during the holiday week with a high of 120 Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers on site as of 12/31. Chaplains have reported 3 additional decisions for Christ. Disaster Relief operations will be suspended Sunday, January 3, and resume with 6 teams on Monday.

Other items to note:

  • Limestone Association is working a few remaining mudout issues in low-lying areas on the Madison/Limestone county line. Operations will continue using local volunteers into the first part of next week.
  • Marshall and Elmore have identified and are working some local needs and have engaged families with ministry as opportunities continue to develop.

Continue to pray for all involved.

If you feel led, please donate funds to assist with ongoing relief efforts here – Southeast Storm Relief Donation.
