Rick Lance – September 2019 Video from Alabama Baptist SBOM on Vimeo.

Hello, Alabama Baptist.

September is right around the corner, and September 8th is a big day in Alabama Baptist’s life. It is a day in which we recognize and emphasize our Myers-Mallory State Missions Offering. It begins the Week of Prayer on September 8th and extends through the entire week to September 15.

As you well know, this State Missions Offering helps complement and supplement Great Commission Ministries, right here in Alabama. We’re talking about disaster relief, and how important it is in times of disaster, we’re able to utilize these funds to have a quick response to those very important needs.

Alabama WMU is doing a plethora of missions constantly throughout the year, and this to, is an important emphasis, in our Myers-Mallory State Missions Offering.

Included furthermore, is church planting, also church revitalization, and our Global Missions Partnerships.

All of these, constituting five emphases, are wrapped up in this Myers-Mallory State Missions Offering.

Please make this a matter of prayer and participation, our goal this year is $1.2 million. Achievable, it is, and I pray that we’ll exceed it.

Additionally, September 8 is an important time for us to focus on baptism, evangelism, and baptism. It is on the calendar for the SBC, called simply, Baptism Sunday. #BaptizingThem is something that we’re utilizing as an emphasis to remind us of the importance of baptism. It could be that that would be the day that you would baptize someone or to preach and teach on baptism.

All of these kind of blend together, when you think about the Myers-Mallory State Missions Offering on September 8th, the Week of Prayer, and baptizing them. The end result is reaching people, and continuing to disciple them.

Alabama Baptist, exciting days are ahead, and September 8 is an important date.
