It’s a matter of stewardship, really!

The Five Points Baptist Church in Huntsville had about a dozen people attending. They have had a great legacy in the past, and for that, we are so thankful and appreciative.

Then, on the other hand, Essential Church is only two years old and already has more than 300 attending on Sundays.

When one of the leaders at Five Points saw Tim Milner, pastor of Essential Church, baptizing outside in front of the office building where they meet, all that changed.

She said, “We need to give our building to them.” And that is exactly what they did.

Tim Milner and Essential Church had gone through the assessment, training, and coaching with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions.

Tim Milner, the featured church planter during the inaugural Myers-Mallory State Missions Offering and Week of Prayer for State Missions in 2016, says of the gift of the Five Points property, “It’s unbelievable. It’s a gift of a lifetime.”

If your church is struggling with what to do with a building with which God has blessed your church – but is now not being used to the fullest – then perhaps you will consider the option of giving it to a new church so the legacy of the church in that location can continue strong.
