Sara

Meet Sara who serves in Africa and learn how you can pray for and partner with her.

Video Transcript:

The Lord saved me when I was five years old and then when I was nine, He told me I was going to be an international missionary. I grew up going to First Baptist Church of Trussville, and that’s where I was saved and that’s also where I felt the Lord call me into missions.

I have served in a large urban city, a city of six million people. There are 60-70 different people groups and 60-70 different languages in that city. I’m a part of four major projects we do in the city throughout the year: a medical clinic, a Vacation Bible School, widow and orphan day, and a project in the national prison.

One of the big things we do when we’re wanting to start a new church plant in an area is we partner a national church with an American-based church. I would love to continue to have partners with the Alabama Baptists through prayer, through coming out with teams in West Africa. Without our partnerships here in the States, we would not be able to do what we do on the field.

Without everyone’s giving to Lottie Moon, I wouldn’t be able to go and do what I do. I wouldn’t be able to get around this large city but because I’ve been funded through the cooperative program and Lottie Moon, I’m able to go and share The Gospel with people who have never heard.

It means a lot to know that there are people who care and invested in my ministry, whether that be just through prayer, through sending me emails saying hey, I want to let you know I prayed for you this morning, or we talked about you in Sunday School today. I want you to know that you’re on our minds.

Pray that my team and the national partners on our team and the National Baptist Union are able to work well together as we team and partner to spread The Gospel in our country.
