First Baptist Church – Clanton is seeking a full-time pastor with a seminary education, who fervently preaches the Word of God, possesses strong leadership qualities with the ability to develop, communicate, and implement a vision for fellow staff and the congregation, and who is active in the community.
Our church is located in the heart of downtown Clanton, which is the largest city in Chilton County (Alabama Encyclopedia listed as one of the top five fastest growing counties in AL). We have an average weekly attendance of 300. The campus consists of four separate buildings including a sanctuary/main building, life center/gym, youth building, and multiple classroom areas. FBC – Clanton has recently renovated our children’s facilities and we have a daily preschool education program with annual enrollment over 100.
We currently have Sunday School and Worship services on Sunday mornings, various topical classes on Sunday evenings, and numerous ministries for students and children offered on Wednesday nights (as well as Sunday). There are six staff positions designated for different areas of ministry (including the pastor, associate pastor, minister of music, youth minister, children’s director, and director of senior adults) and two other staff positions (secretary, and custodian) at FBC – Clanton.
