As the Associate Pastor of Music and Missions, you will play a crucial role in fostering a dynamic and spiritually enriching environment within our church. Your responsibilities will be multifaceted, spanning both the realms of music and missions, focusing on enhancing our music ministry and expanding our outreach initiatives.
Qualifications:
• All applicants are expected to meet the requirements for pastors as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-10; 1 Peter 5:1-11; Acts 20:17-38; and Ephesians 4:7-13.
• All applicants are expected to be in full accordance with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
• All applicants are expected to be an ordained minister before they start the position.
• All applicants are expected to be able to read music.
Music Ministry Responsibilities:
• Plan and lead music for all services and special events, including rehearsals.
• Select songs in alignment with sermon topics and seasonal themes.
• Prepare and guide the choir for services and special programs, including rehearsals.
• Develop and implement your vision for a vibrant worship team/band/choir.
• Provide oversight for the audio/media team.
• Steward the assets of the music ministry with a keen eye for resource optimization.
• Undertake any additional activities assigned by the Senior Pastor.
Missions Ministry Responsibilities:
• Engage in community evangelism by leading and supporting bi-weekly evangelism activities.
• Organize and lead outreach events that provide opportunities for members to build relationships and share the gospel in our community.
• Innovate and expand the scope of our mission ambitions both domestically and internationally.
• Implement and facilitate church-wide classes on evangelism and missions to equip members for personal evangelism.
• Collaborate with our Para-ministry partners to maximize outreach and evangelism opportunities.
• Undertake any additional activities assigned by the Senior Pastor.
Pastoral Ministry Responsibilities:
• Dedicate time to prayer, regularly interceding for the congregation in your private devotions.
• Dedicate time to God’s Word, regularly reading, meditating, and memorizing Scripture in your private devotions.
• Occasionally preach God’s Word during our corporate worship services when requested.
• Provide counseling and discipleship to foster spiritual growth in our congregation.
• Undertake any additional activities assigned by the Senior Pastor.
Office Responsibilities:
• Actively participate in deacon's meetings, staff meetings, church council meetings, member meetings, and associational meetings, each held monthly.
• Actively participate in elder's meetings and service meetings, each held weekly. Regularly visit and check in on church members, cultivating a sense of community and care.
• Undertake any additional activities assigned by the Senior Pastor.
All full-time employees are expected to dedicate a minimum of 40 hours per week, with an understanding that the demands of the position may require additional commitment that, at times, exceeds 40 hours.
