Hey, thank you for your time today.
You know, I know things are crazy and it’s difficult for us to know what each day is gonna hold, and I’m reminded of last Sunday morning.
I woke up, it was around 5:30, and first of all, I wondered, “Why can’t I sleep anymore?,” but I’ve gotten old, I guess, and I wake up early. And as I was laying there, and I was thinking about the Sunday, and how things were gonna go with live streaming the service, and how the message was gonna go, and how many people would really respond, and be attentive to it, and what are we gonna do about the offering, what are we gonna do about Annie Armstrong, and trying to collect that offering? My mind was just spinning.
And I heard off in the distance, I heard a rooster crow. It was about daylight now and he was just so happy. And then outside the window, there were some birds tweeting and they were just having a great morning. As I was driving to church, just a little while later, the trees along the road were just in full bloom, they were amazing, it was incredible, and I was reminded of that verse.
You know, Buddy, “If God’s gonna take care “of the birds of the air and the flowers of the field, “how much more of is he gonna take care of us?” And then I kinda remembered those words of Jesus, “Oh you, of little faith.” And you know, that became my prayer, and in a sense, still is my prayer when I get stressed out, “God, would you give me more faith?”
I don’t know what to do about coronavirus, I don’t what to do about Annie Armstrong, I don’t know what to do about a lot of the things that are going on in the world, but I do know that God can give us more faith. We don’t know what the future holds, but we know who holds the future, right? And God’s gonna, “Make all things work together for good “for them that love the Lord “and are called according to His purpose.”
Let’s make that our prayer today. God, would you give us more faith, and trust, that you’re gonna take care of all of this? God bless you, have a super day.
