The Lead Pastor is responsible for the overall Holy Spirit led direction, vision, and mission of First Baptist Church of Silverhill, Alabama. He is responsible for accurately and proclaiming the Word of God, to engage and oversee caring of the church body, and to provide administrative leadership in all areas of church life, including ministry staff and all church employees.
Priorities / Duties
-Accurately preach the Word of God in a clear and engaging manner with believers and unbelievers
-Provide pastoral care and counseling to members of the congregation
-Oversee the corporate worship and prayer of the church
-Develop and implement programs to promote spiritual growth and discipleship within the church community
-Provide lead administrative duties for the church staff, both paid and voluntary positions
-Work with deacons, church officers, and committees as they perform their assigned responsibilities.
Requirements
-Ordained Minister
-Minimum of a Degree from a Southern Baptist Seminary (preferred)
-Agreement with The Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
-Experienced, full-time service in pastoral ministry.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
