State Missionary Jay Stewart serves as the director of the Office of Cooperative Program and Church Financial Resources. His office provides assistance to churches in the development of the Cooperative Program as the God-given plan for supporting Baptist ministry causes in Alabama and around the world. They also offer church financial resources such as stewardship education and church budget planning. Their resources are available to Alabama Baptist churches and associations.

Jay is married to Candi and they have 2 children. They are members of First Baptist Church, Montgomery.
