Worship Leader/Pastor

Hobbs Island Church

Hobbs Island Church meets in southern Madison County, about five miles outside of the city of Huntsville. We are able and willing to seek out a worship leader. This position can be pastoral or non-pastoral staff, depending on what the candidate's calling and conviction is on the matter. We would like someone who understands that worship is a whole church act before God. We would love to welcome a congregational leader rather than a solo performer. We embrace classic and new hymns and rich and noble modern praise songs. Think of the stuff you'd hear at the Sing Conference, for example. Our current congregational singing has consisted of a singer or two who leads with one accompanying instrument. We are happy to continue in this manner, as simplicity reminds us that the congregation is what God loves to hear, but if we grow to the point that we are capable of adding more musicians, we would be glad to take the Lord's lead on that.

So if you fit these qualifications and are interested in learning more about Hobbs Island Church, please contact us!

– Christian with a clear testimony of God's salvation.
– Able to serve in a Baptist congregation (BFM 2000 is our statement of faith)
– Aspires to serve the church in action and example.
– Able to lead us in song both instrumentally and vocally.
– Willing to work with pastor to determine order of worship service.

Pay is negotiable but we would like to land on the generous side for a part-time position of this nature. God has blessed our church with resources to do so!
