Part-Time/Full-Time Worship Leader

Leatherwood Baptist Church in Anniston, Alabama is seeking a worship leader. Leatherwood is a growing congregation that loves the Lord, His Word, and is actively pursuing Him in all that we do. We are seeking a spirit-filled worship leader, called and gifted by God that exemplifies a growing relationship with Christ. The worship leader will work closely with our pastor in developing worship services and worship teams that help lead our congregation to experience the greatness of God through Jesus Christ, in the power of the Spirit. The worship leader will help to foster dynamic congregational worship, singing the best of the old and the best of the new. We are seeking an individual who’s called and gifted by God in the following areas:
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Planning our weekly Sunday 10:00am worship service. Choosing congregational songs that engage the congregation and support the reading and preaching of God’s Word.
2. Modeling and leading heartfelt worship in an invitational style – that draws people in, encourages participation, and points people to Jesus.
3. Recruiting musicians in the church to serve the congregation as a team with musical skill and humility.
4. Assist the other ministries (especially youth) in their worship services and special events.
