Position Title: Pastor of Youth, Family and Missions — First Baptist Church Reeltown
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Status/Salary: Full-Time, Up to $40,000 and Housing (Based on Experience)

FBCR is seeking a full-time Youth, Family and Missions Pastor. We are looking for a man who can build relationships with our students and their families and teach them the Word of God and grow them as disciples who want to make disciples. We long for a man that has an evangelistic heart to reach students throughout our community. We desire a person who will be involved and engaged in each student’s life to include church bible studies, school activities and sporting events. We are looking for a man that has a strong understanding of scripture and believes it is inspired by God to teach us to do what is right and show us what is wrong in our lives (2 Tim 3:16) and is equipped to share and teach it to our students. Not only will he be a teacher of the Word but he will model it by showing students the love of Jesus and what a life of servanthood looks like. He will grow students spiritually so that one day they will be rooted and grounded in their Identity in Christ. As Missions Pastor, he will have a strong desire to live out the command of Acts 1:8 by planning, organizing and executing local, national and international mission opportunities for our church family.

Duties, Responsibilities, Expectations
Lead and organize fellowship, biblical teaching, discipleship, evangelism, as well as ministry opportunities for students (7-12 grade).

Teach/lead Youth Services/Studies Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings.

Plan, organize and facilitate student camps, social outings, mission trips and other ministry/mission activities throughout the year.

Provide counseling and spiritual guidance to students.

Grow relationships with students outside of the church campus by being engaged in
their extra-curricular activities as much as possible (i.e. sporting events, school activities, etc.)

Keep parents updated on ministry plans and opportunities in order to encourage partnership and involvement.

Support parents in effectively fulfilling their Christian parenting role in concert with other pastoral staff.

Seek to integrate students into all phases of church life to create a culture that 
is intentionally intergenerational, striving to unite with and complement other 
church ministries.

Present a yearly youth budget proposal to the Finance Committee and oversee 
the approved annual youth budget.

Set and attain measurable goals for group growth and present these to the Senior Pastor annually.

Work with the Senior Pastor to develop a missions strategy at the local, national and international level that can be executed by the church body.

Attend all FBCR worship services and staff meetings.

Fill the pulpit on Sunday mornings if called upon by the Senior Pastor.

Maintain regular work hours coordinated with the Senior Pastor.

Requirements
Have a close personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Must meet the Biblical qualifications as an overseer/ pastor as described within the scriptures, specifically 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.

Have experienced God’s clear call, have been ordained into the Gospel ministry, and be suitably trained to lead in the duties, responsibilities and expectations listed above

Possess a seminary degree or actively pursuing a degree is desired (but not mandatory)

Endorse and affirm all articles of The Baptist Faith & Message

Ability to assess priorities (time management)

Demonstrated work ethic and excellence in previous work/volunteer environments

Possess an effective preaching ability (oral and written)

Be temperate, sensible, friendly, dignified, hospitable, gentle, honest, reliable and exemplary in conduct

Have a solid reputation

Possess computer skills needed to prepare material and execute task listed in the duties, responsibilities and expectations section above
