Pastor of Worship and Administration
Job Description:

Salary: Determined Based on Education and Experience
Summary:
• Lead and develop the worship ministry while serving as a spiritual leader and role model.
• Create engaging, relevant, and theologically sound worship services in consultation with the Lead Pastor that foster spiritual growth, community, and congregational involvement.
• Recruit, train, and lead the choir, worship team, and technology team support worship services and events.
• Alongside the Lead Pastor oversee and manage the church’s administrative functions and facilities.
Qualifications:
• Be called by God to serve in a local church specifically in vocational ministry.
• Meet the character qualifications for a pastor/elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
• Affirm the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 in its entirety.
• Formal education in theology, ministry, music, organizational leadership, or other relevant field desired.
• Experience in church administration, music ministry, or other relevant field desired.
• Possess strong organizational and leadership skills to develop and manage volunteer teams.
• Exhibit a passion for worship ministry and a strong desire to disciple the congregation through music and worship.
• Possess effective communication skills and stage presence with the ability to lead a congregation in worship.
• Possess the vocal ability to lead worship and competent effectively maintain, direct, and instruct a choir and choral ministry.
• Ability to identify, equip, and task volunteers with various ministry roles and responsibilities, ensuring that the ministry's needs are met through effective team management and delegation.
• Be proficient in the use of worship and music technology and social media as tools for ministry.
• Experience in budget management, planning, and execution of church policies and safety standards.
• Possess the ability to oversee the care of facilities by volunteers, contractors, deacons, staff, and more.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, develop, and implement all aspects of a balanced worship ministry.
• Recruit, train, and lead volunteers in a worship ministry context.
• Maintain and lead the church choir.
• Maintain and lead the technology and media team.
• Conduct a regular choir and worship team rehearsal.
• Organize and lead services in consultation with the Lead Pastor.
• Lead the congregation in worship blending classic hymns with contemporary hymnody.
• Organize and lead special worship events such as seasonal services at Christmas, Easter, and other key times in the church year.
• Provide ministerial care and counseling to volunteers and members of the worship ministry.
• Manage the budget for worship ministries and ensure all worship activities comply with church policies and safety standards.
• Oversee church facilities, ensuring proper maintenance, scheduling, and utilization.
• In conjunction with the Lead Pastor oversee the office personnel and other staff to ensure ministry and practical effectiveness.
• Collaborate with church leadership to align worship and administrative strategies with the church's overall mission and goals.
Expectations:
• Participate in staff meetings and collaborate with other church staff to integrate worship and administrative ministry into the broader church mission. This includes a commitment to aligning worship ministry strategies with the church's vision and goals.
• Work in conjunction with church ministry leaders to plan a comprehensive yearly ministry calendar that ensures the inclusion of key worship events and milestones.
• Maintain professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits, demonstrating a high standard of ethical and spiritual integrity.
• Demonstrate a commitment to personal spiritual growth and a healthy lifestyle, modeling the Christian faith to the church community.
• Be adaptable and flexible in a changing ministry environment, showing a willingness to respond to the evolving needs of the church and worship ministry.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and spiritual formation to ensure ministry effectiveness.
• Perform other duties as assigned, in accordance with the needs of the church and the congregation.
