Part-time Youth Minister

Job Description:
Oversee the student ministry of the church by developing and coordinating programs and events for students (6th-12th grade).

Key Responsibilities:
• Consult with the pastor regarding weekly programs, special events, and the overall health of the student ministry.
• Oversee student programs including student Sunday school and Wednesday night activities through recruitment, training, planning, leading, and teaching.
• Supervise, coordinate, and schedule all volunteer student workers.
• Work with the appropriate committee(s) and the paster in the utilization of needed resources for the Student Ministry.
• Preparing, presenting, and implementing all budgetary matters related to this ministry (with assistance of the Church Treasurer).
• Meet weekly with the pastor for prayer, encouragement, calendar planning, ministry implementation, and evaluation through video conferencing, if necessary.
• Work with the appropriate committees and staff members to carry out the student ministry and the overall mission of the church.
• Implement logistical details and provide support and expertise for events and special evangelistic efforts that involve students.
• Represent the Student Ministry on the Church Council and during church business meetings.
• Actively participate in the overall ministry of the church including but not limited to worship services, workdays, VBS, mission projects, and revivals unless arrangements have been made in advance with the pastor.
• Cooperate with the pastor by performing other duties when asked to do so.

Qualifications:
• Have an authentic and growing personal relationship with Christ.
• Have an evident calling and sincere passion to minister to the church through an evangelistic student ministry.
• Have the ability to work efficiently and effectively with the staff and volunteers.
• Have good time-management skills and organizational abilities.
• Have a core value of excellence.
• Submit to the leadership and established policies and doctrine of the church.
Qualified applicants must hold conservative evangelical beliefs and agree with The Baptist Faith and Message (for the purpose of doctrinal alignment and like-mindedness with the church and pastor).
Minimum Weekly Work Hours:
September-May: 10 hours per week
June-August: 15 hours per week

Compensation:
September-May: $150 per week
June-August: $225 per week
Church housing may be available if needed (adjacent to the church).
