ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Tates Chapel Baptist Church is seeking a part-time Music Director to lead our church in worship. As our current Music Director prepares to retire at the end of the year, we are looking for a spiritually mature leader who is passionate about leading Christ-centered worship.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead worship during Sunday services
• Lead choir practices each Wednesday night
• Recruit, train, and shepherd musicians and vocalists
• Plan special musical performances, including Easter and Christmas Cantata
• Participate in the overall life and ministry of Tates Chapel Baptist Church
• Direct the media ministry
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Demonstrate a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
• Affirm the Baptist Faith & Message 2000
• Ability to lead congregational worship
• Ministry experience or formal music training preferred
