We are seeking a passionate part-time Director of Music who will align with the vision of FBCA. We are looking for someone with a heart for serving the Lord and His people. A person who is gifted in music and can lead other vocalist and/or musicians in offering contemporary and traditional hymns.
The responsibilities include:
Lead, coordinate and/or manage all vocalist(s), instrumentalist(s), choir(s) and praise team
rehearsals and worship times and performances. Encourage congregational singing as an
essential part of worship.
Collaborate with the pastoral staff, volunteers, and media managers through teamwork
and mutual support to ensure the music reflects the mission and the vision of the church and in a way that advances the theme of the message topic for all regular worship services, special services and other events as needed.
Communicate and coordinate with the assigned Pastor the order of worship for the week and communicate to the administrative staff in a timely manner the items of music/songs to be printed in the weekly church bulletin.
Coordinate with volunteers regarding technical needs for sound and projected lyrics. 1
Encourage and recruit members of the congregation to offer their musical gifts in the service of Christ and the church in a variety of ways.
Supervise the music library.
Become familiar with and be able to proficiently run and manage all of the technological
components of the worship service. Manage and direct the sound booth personnel.
Aid, counsel, and coordinate, when available, for special events such as weddings,
funerals, etc.
