Piney Grove Baptist Church of Ardmore, Alabama is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor of Youth and Education who loves Jesus, loves God’s word, loves God’s people, has a heart for youth and desires to reach our community for Christ. Our church believes in the Southern Baptist doctrine and follows the Baptist Faith and Message adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000. The mission of our church is to make disciples who follow Jesus, connect with one another, and serve others. Our church is a long term established church in our community and Sunday morning attendance ranges from 180 to 235. Our youth department (6th through 12th grades) averages attendance of 30-55.
We are seeking a man who possesses a sincere desire to minister to youth and to teach them about Jesus Christ. He must have a vision for our youth department that includes reaching out to our community youth to share the gospel and while also mentoring our faithful youth members to grow in Christ and help them share Jesus with others. He will be responsible for committing 70% of his time to youth ministry and 30% of his time with the educational ministries. We are seeking a man committed to teaching the inerrant word of God and that is committed to making disciples through gospel focused worship, training and service, and mentorship primarily of our youth community. Primary duties will include planning, organizing, and conducting youth bible studies, activities, camps/retreats etc. He will also assist the training directors within the educational ministries such as VBS, Sunday school ministry, Wednesday night activities, outreach ministries etc.
The Associate Pastor of Youth and Education will work directly with and report to the Senior Pastor and provide support to him as needed.
