Gilgal Baptist Church Minister of Music
Gilgal Baptist Church in Duncanville, Alabama is prayerfully searching for a bi-vocational minister of music to serve alongside our pastor to organize weekly worship services for our multi-generational congregation. We seek to be a Spirit-filled community with genuine love God, His Word, and His people.
Qualifications for this position:
• Must be a born-again believer in Jesus Christ.
• Demonstrate a vital and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Meet and model the Biblical qualifications for an elder/overseer in the church as defined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, and 1 Peter 5:1-3.
• Recruit, oversee, and develop members of our congregation of all ages who are musically gifted and involve them in applying their gifts in worship.
• Be ready and willing to step in for our pastor if needed.
• Able to utilize a mixture of traditional and contemporary songs and hymns, staying current in latest styles of worship, production technologies, tools, and resources.
• Plan and organize the music content of all worship services and other special services in partnership with our Senior Pastor.
• Produce and post Facebook and website church service weekly.
