Part-time Minister of Music
Crossbridge Community Church – Helena, Alabama 35080
Crossbridge is a small Southern Baptist church located in Helena, Alabama. Presently we are averaging anywhere from 60 to 70 in the worship service. We are looking for a part-time Minister of Music that has experience. We, at present, do not have a choir. We do have a Praise Team that consists of 7 people. We have a pianist and keyboardist as well as a drummer, a guitarist and 4 vocalists. The church presently enjoys mostly contemporary Christian music blended in with some hymns. This person needs to have knowledge not only to select Biblical music for the church but also have a music background and know how to read music. The Minister of Music would need to be a primary vocalist. Being able to play an instrument would be desirable. Also, this person needs to know about sound systems and their operation to aid in the worship service and our live stream sounding great. Crossbridge is a warm, loving church and the Minister of Music will be loved by our congregation.
In summary the Minister of Music needs to:
•Have a personal relationship with Jesus and be able to share his testimony.
•Lead the music for the worship service.
•Lead the worship team in preparing for the Sunday morning service (currently we rehearse at 8:30 Sunday mornings).
•Be a primary vocalist for the Worship Team.
•Be able to read music.
•Play an instrument is desired, but not necessary.
•Be familiar with our sound system and work closely with our Sound team.
