Minister of Children

Coaling Baptist Church near Tuscaloosa, Alabama is looking for a part-time Children’s Minister. While this is part-time now, it is our desire as the ministry grows that this will be a full-time position at a point in the future. We are not looking for someone to come in and to do all the children’s ministry themselves, we are looking for a candidate that would lead our children’s volunteers into more effective ministry and to help them develop their skills to reach this next generation for Christ. The ideal candidate will be the point person on all elements of children’s ministry (Birth-5th Grade).We want our candidate to equip our children to reach their friends. An ideal candidate would also help with outreach to their parents and the rest of their families. A good breakdown of their time would be 1/3 with the children, 1/3 with volunteers and 1/3 with parents/family. Some weeks the balance will tilt one way or another…but ministry in all 3 areas will be essential to a growing Christ-centered children’s ministry.
Coaling Baptist is a small/medium size church in a transitioning rural/suburban area near Tuscaloosa. Coaling is a town known for its variety of community activities and its desire to have a family friendly atmosphere. Our church averages around 220 on a Sunday morning with anywhere from 25-35 children actively involved.
