Alabama Baptist Children’s Homes has an excellent full-time opportunity for a Family Care Relief Specialist in the Birmingham area. This position will provide daily oversight of the Family Care program. This live-in position’s role is to supervise all clients’ daily routine, while providing instruction and accountability. They also seek to connect clients with resources that will assist them towards their goal of living independently. This person will manage the household and demonstrate positive family living to clients and their dependents.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Applicants must have inter-personal skills to resolve conflict; the ability to multi-task and manage a household of up to seven families at a time; ability to host on campus volunteers, assist with setting up new family apartment and cleaning of spaces when families move out, and the ability to reside in the Family Care Home overnight with the clients while on duty.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a good driving record and pass pre-employment screenings including criminal background.
