The Discipleship/Worship Pastor will lead our church’s efforts to grow biblical disciples and will lead all worship ministries of our church. The ideal candidate should be a Christian leader with experience shepherding and developing small group ministries, as well as a musically-gifted, spiritually-mature, biblically-grounded leader of congregational worship.
Develop Riverside’s Small Group ministry as the primary avenue for the spiritual growth for members.
Work with Pastoral Ministry Team to develop vision, goals, and benchmarks for the Small Group Ministry.
Provide oversight for the church’s age-specific discipleship groups, along with the church’s men’s and women’s ministries in order to maintain church’s unity of purpose and vision
Evaluate and recommend curriculum for Small Groups
Continually recruit, train, and encourage leaders of all discipleship ministries and equip them to disciple others.
Develop a clear and effective strategy to help attendees easily and efficiently take the next step in their relationship with God and assimilate into our church community.
Oversee and give direct staff support to the church greeting team
Meet regularly with Pastoral Ministry Team to address strategy and pastoral care.
Manage appropriate discipleship related budget lines.
Work with the Senior Pastor to plan the worship services and be responsible for the selection of the music.
Lead the musical portion of worship services.
Conduct weekly worship practices.
Lead all music ministries in the church.
Develop a process to regularly identify and deploy new volunteers in the church’s worship ministry.
Shepherd, train, manage, and care for the volunteer worship teams.
Oversee the church’s worship tech ministry.
Be available to arrange and provide music for special projects, ministries, and other church-related activities in cooperation with appropriate individuals or groups.
Supervise maintenance of and additions to music library and equipment, including music materials, supplies, instruments and other music equipment for use in the church's program.
Manage appropriate worship related budget lines.
