Children’s Director Job Description
*The U3B Children’s Director shall be a person called by the Holy Spirit to work with children at our church. He/She must be a person who walks worthy of this calling and has a strong spiritual life. He/She must be a student of the Word of God and knowledgeable of its teaching.

He/She shall be responsible for the following basic activities:
*Act as the director for the Children’s Ministry (including Children's Connection Group classes) for Union #3 Baptist Church.
*To support and work with the Nursery Directors and the Preschool Directors. He/She shall be responsible to help these directors with their ministry by making sure they have all they need (as in materials, curriculum), as a prayer partner, and as a support to parents.
*To personally lead in Children’s Church and/or to build a team of volunteers to facilitate Children's Church.
*Will be responsible for making sure all materials (curriculum, supplies) needed for ministry are on hand/available to workers.
*Will be responsible for locating or developing curriculum for the Children’s Church time.
*Make sure that all teachers are in place and faithfully teaching and attending worship on a regular basis
*Work with the VBS Director before and during VBS.
*Work with the pastor and other ministerial staff to plan the Children’s calendar in conjunction with other ministries.
*To plan and facilitate a Children’s Camp each summer.
*To plan and facilitate a Fall festival.
*To come alongside the parents at Union #3 Baptist Church to be a support and encouragement for them to raise their children in the admonition of the Lord.

*The director shall be supportive of all ministries of the church and must be willing to work with the pastor and other ministerial staff. The director shall be a regular attender of all services or events when not working with the children. This position will be under the management of the pastor and/or his appointed representative.

Salary range: $5000 to $8000 per year based on experience and time per week as agreed upon between the church and applicant.
