Bi-Vocational Pastor

Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brundidge, Alabama is seeking a bi-vocational pastor who is passionate about preaching the Gospel, discipleship and community engagement and who has spiritual maturity reflecting the character of Christ, in both his private and public life. We are a well-established but growing church that seeks to glorify God in all we do. The ideal candidate is a man who is sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit and will utilize his God-given abilities to communicate meaning and insight from scripture in a way that connects with the congregation and effectively leads to learning, understanding and application. Some requirements for this position that are expected but not limited to will be to embrace responsibility of the role as the spiritual leader of the church, proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, teach Biblical scripture, engage in pastoral care and provide administrative leadership in all areas of church life and function. He will work with the deacons and church staff to encourage worship and service within the church and throughout the community. We have small groups and ministries for all ages and keep a laid back “family” atmosphere.
