Associate Pastor, Minister to Children

Summerville Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL is seeking an associate pastor/minister of children.  Our prayer is to find someone with a heart for ministry & a love for God’s people.  This person must approach his ministry as a servant leader who leads by the example of his life.  This position will be responsible for leading the church in developing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive plan for the discipleship of children.  This position will have the full support of the pastoral staff.  Our staff works as a team to accomplish all that God calls us to.  Salary and benefits will be determined based on experience. ·       A clear call to children’s ministry ·       3 years of children’s ministry experience preferred (but not a must) ·       Outgoing personality, a people person, able to connect with all people ·       Biblical knowledge w/ the ability to teach/preach expository messages along with the ability to help others understand the Word of God so they can make application in their daily life ·       A desire to grow in his personal walk with Jesus and his calling in ministry ·       A wife that shares and supports your call to ministry ·       College degree (could be substituted for solid experience in children’s ministry) ·       Able to manage responsibilities, organized ·       CDL or willingness to obtain ·       Financially honors the Lord (tithe) Please mail or email to: (please do not call the church to ask about this position) Summerville Baptist Church Search Team 3500 Summerville Rd Phenix City, AL 36867 or Email- rgoodman@summervillebc.com
