Video Transcript:

Fellow Alabama Baptist pastors, we’re all scurrying and making many decisions each day about how to minister effectively in the midst of a COVID-19 pandemic. And as we experience rapid changes in our life and ministry during this unprecedented days, I pray that we will be strengthened in the Lord, and in the power of his might, as we seek to represent Christ well to a watching world.

I pray that we can find creative ways to be effective in equipping our people to be disciple-makers in the midst of these days. May we mobilize God’s people to stay on mission. And may we represent Christ well. I know that is your desire as well as mine.

And I want us to remember that we are not alone as pastors. We are in this thing together. And as pastors, we are encouraging our congregation to stay connected and stay engaged. May we do the same.

I wanna encourage you to call other pastors, to connect with them, encourage them, pray for them, share with them, and learn from them during these days.

Know too that your State Board of Mission staff is praying for you, and we stand ready to assist you in any way that we possibly can.

You are a man of God, called and equipped to serve our savior for times such as this. Pray fervently, abide faithfully in God’s word to be refreshed so that we can be refreshers. Proclaim boldly the gospel of Jesus Christ. There’s a world that is listening. Love sincerely. Minister selflessly. And guys, let’s trust God fully, because he is still in control. And he holds us in his care. Therefore, let us run with endurance the race that is set before us looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Press on, dear men of God.
