Troy L. Morrison Leadership Award
The “Troy L. Morrison” Leadership Award has become a significant recognition since its inception in 1999. During the first three years of its existence, the award was presented in two categories, New Work and Established Work. In 2002 the award was expanded to include a minister from a Bi-vocational Work (a church where the pastor holds dual employment).
Persons who would like to submit nominations for the award should carefully read the attached criteria and fill out the attached form. Completed nomination forms should be sent to the Office of LeaderCare & Church Health prior to September 20, 2019. The presentation of the awards will be made at the State Convention.

The criteria that have been followed in selecting recipients includes a basic statement, three categories with reference being given to three general groupings of churches (small, medium, large).
This award, The Troy L. Morrison Leadership Award, will be given to those individuals who have demonstrated evidence of leadership that has advanced the church in four key areas of kingdom growth-spiritual growth, ministry advancement, missions involvement and numerical growth.
Three categories –
New Work, Established Work, and Bi-vocational
New work (church less than ten years old)
Established work (church older than ten years)
Bi-vocational (church where the pastor holds dual employment)
Three Groupings –
Thoughtful reference has been and will continue to be given to persons who have served and are serving in small, medium or large size churches.
The persons who will be acknowledged as recipients of this significant recognition are identified through a process of nomination, evaluation, and selection by a subgroup of the Alabama Baptist LeaderCare & Church Health Coordinating Council.
Persons who desire to submit a nominee for one or more of the categories should use the form below to submit the name(s). The criteria expressed above should be observed in consideration of the nomination. Persons nominated before but not selected may be re-nominated.
The deadline for receiving nominations is September 20, 2019.
