My name is Jesse Powell and I currently serve as a missionary in Phoenix, Arizona with the North American Mission Board. In my role as a church planting catalyst, I have the privilege of working with new church planters as they follow God¹s call and start new works in the Phoenix area. My wife, Stefanie, and I have two daughters and have had a few foster children join our family.

I was born and raised in Alabama Southern Baptist churches. It was there that I was saved and baptized, participated in Bible drill and mission trips, and was ordained as a pastor. As a college student, I was greatly impacted by the Baptist Campus Ministry at Troy University. It was during that time that I made my first trip to Arizona as a student missionary. I am grateful for the influence Alabama Baptists have had on my life, and appreciate the continued support in my role in Arizona.
