Strong storms moved across North Alabama Monday evening, March 19, spawning several tornadoes. Among the hardest hit areas was Jacksonville, where the campus of Jacksonville State University sustained damage and the West Point Baptist Church building was partially destroyed. Alabama Baptist disaster relief assessment teams were deployed to storm-damaged areas on March 20. Clean-up teams and other volunteers will be deployed in the days to come where needed. A disaster relief check will be delivered to Ronny Moore, pastor of West Point Baptist, on March 21.
