It is finally here! There is now an opportunity to earn a Certificate in Church Planting through a partnership between the Ministry Training Institute and the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions.
This will enable bi-vocational church planting candidates and others to get training without attending the three-day conferences. It is all online!
The Certificate in Church Planting provides the components related to church planting from a Biblical basis through the planning processes that form the foundations for a planter or prospective planter to plant a healthy reproducing church.
The courses will support a person’s spiritual, evangelism/disciple-making, team and church leadership development in addition to understanding the appropriate church model for the context. Each course will be taught by persons experienced in church planting.
The certificate is awarded upon the successful completion of these four courses:
¬ Introduction to Church Planting
¬ Church Planting Models and Methods
¬ Church Planting Essentials: Evangelism, Disciplemaking, Leadership Development
¬ Strategic Planning for Planting a Church
The first course, Introduction to Church Planting, will begin August 21 and run for eight consecutive weeks.
