Harris to Retire from Part-time Role at SBOM, Focuses on Pastorare

After five and a half years serving on the state evangelism team, William “Billy” Harris is retiring from the role to focus on his pastorate.

Harris, the pastor of Linden Baptist Church in Bethel Baptist Association, has served in a part-time capacity with the evangelism office of the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions (SBOM) since June 2012.

“He has been a blessing to Kingdom service,” said Sammy Gilbreath, SBOM evangelism director. “He’s a good communicator, he loves pastors and directors of missions and he’s a good teacher.” (continued…)
