Dothan’s Ridgecrest BC Disaster Relief stepping up after storm damage

dr1DOTHAN, Ala. (TAB, The Dothan Eagle) — Straight-line wind damage in Dothan and Houston County on Saturday left approximately 30,000 people without power and Ridgecrest Baptist Church’s Disaster Relief (DR) team is working to clean up the damage.

By Sunday afternoon power had been restored to all but 7,000 people, according to The Dothan Eagle, but Ridgecrest’s DR team was just getting started. Within 30 minutes of the storm’s passing on Saturday about 40 DR volunteers appeared on streets to cut trees, move limbs and improve maneuverability.
