The public is invited to two performances by a 151-member children’s choir on Saturday, March 2, in Lynn Haven, Florida.

The Alabama Baptist Children’s Honor Choir (CHC) will present a concert at 2 p.m. in Sharon J. Sheffield Park, located across from Lynn Haven City Hall, 825 Ohio Avenue.

From 2 to 3:30 p.m., free hamburgers and hotdogs will be served in Sheffield Park by a team of Alabama Baptist Disaster Relief volunteers.

A full concert will take place at 6 p.m. at Emerald Coast Fellowship, 4102 West Highway 390.

Both performances are free of charge. The choir’s program has been especially designed to provide encouragement to those impacted by recent weather disasters and will feature four-part music as well as media, painting, dancing and sign language.

During the CHC’s 20 years of ministry, more than 3,000 auditioned students in grades 4-6 from across Alabama have participated, said Karen Gosselin, the choir’s director and a music specialist with the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions (SBOM), Montgomery, which sponsors the choir.

“Children leave every year with a different appreciation for who God is and for music and what it does,” Gosselin stated.
